Carver-Hawkeye Arena: Phase 1

Videoboard, sound system, hardwood court: Fall 2016

 Carver-Hawkeye Arena

For many Iowans, attending a basketball game, wrestling match, volleyball or gymnastics competition in Iowa City is a favorite pastime. It's a winter ritual where families and friends come together not only to cheer on our Hawkeyes, but also to enjoy the time together. Throughout the years, fans have made countless trips to Carver-Hawkeye Arena to see our Hawkeyes succeed  while enjoying the history and tradition steeped in this great arena.

The key to our success today and in the future is recruiting the most talented student-athletes and maintaining world-class facilities not only for our players and coaches, but also for our fans. Approximately 460,000 fans visit Carver-Hawkeye Arena each year for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's gymnastics, wrestling, volleyball, and commencement.

Facilities are critical to the entire university - not only in recruiting the very best students, but also in retaining and recruiting top-notch faculty, staff, and coaches. For our Hawkeye fans who flock each year to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, facilities are also vital because the memories made within them last a lifetime.

As we look to the future and upcoming renovations to Carver-Hawkeye Arena - which include a new videoboard, sound system, hardwood court, and more - private support from our great fans will be important to maintaining a competitive edge. In an effort to advance Carver-Hawkeye Arena and to honor the great Hawkeyes who have played under its roof, we need your support to make these game-changing advances a reality.

Give now, to ensure a strong future for Hawkeye athletics.
